Dr. Walhof graduated from National University in Holland in 1969 with a doctoral degree in economics and went on to work in an investment advisory. With the goal of promoting the economic development of the Southwest Pacific area, he served as a trade representative for the Solomon Islands at the United Nations before transitioning into his current field. Furthermore, Dr. Walholf and his wife are longtime sponsors of animal rescue and rehabilitation programs and have organized their own 501 3 (c) corporation under the name of ANIMIS Foundation. Based in Ocala, Fla., it sponsors animal rescue and rehabilitation activities in the U.S. and France.
